Over 30 ICE members attended a workshop to ensure the region’s views on the government’s proposed High Speed Rail project are heard.

The workshop at CUBE in Manchester followed a group discussion format guided by a facilitator, who then reported back to the overall meeting on the many key issues that were raised.

A range of questions were tackled, ranging from the possible location of a regional site at Manchester Airport or Piccadilly, through to possible impacts upon the Northern Hub project.

Regional Director Alan Butler said results would now be fed back to Great George Street for inclusion in the national ICE policy response.
