ICE Scotland Graduates & Students Papers Competition

Date:

12 APRIL 2011

Branch Winners from AACE, DAB, EAB and GWoS competed for the Regional title.

The ICE Scotland Papers Competition Final was held on Monday 11th April at the University of Dundee. Four finalists competed to represent Scotland at the National ICE Papers Competition. The winner was Euann Roy representing AACE who delivered an excellent presentation on the use of Textile-Reinforced Structural Strengthening Systems. The runner up was Lorna McDougall for GWoS who discussed her work on the use of Calcium Aluminate Cement additions to concrete.

The judges commended all four finalists on the quality of both the papers produced and the presentations themselves. Not only were the issues discussed topical but they also covered a wide range of disciplines. We would like to wish Euann the best of luck in representing Scotland in the National ICE Papers Competition Final.
