ICE Y&H QUEST Technician Scholarship

The closing date for applications is approaching, but there is still time to submit your entry.

ICE Yorkshire and Humber are offering a number of scholarships providing up to £1,500 of financial support for those who are studying an approved full or part-time course in civil engineering.

The scholarship provides support to those who are completing a course which may lead to professional qualification as an Engineering Technician. Visit ice.org.uk/QUESTtechnician to check your eligibility. Candidates will be selected for interview based on the content of their application forms and a short essay which is set by the regional judges.

Yorkshire and Humber's essay this year is 500-1,000 words addressing the following:
"Society is right to expect 100% protection against flooding". Discuss.

The essay will be assessed for relevance and standard of English (syntax, grammar, punctuation and spelling), and it may be either handwritten or word-processsed.

ICE Y&H application timeline:
Application closes: 23 November 2012
Shortlisted candidates are notified: week ending 14 December 2012
Interviews will take place: 16 January 2013
