ICE & SNOW 2012 (16 - 23 Dec) was the 9th annual event of its kind and if the testimonials are anything to go by... probably the best.
Without doubt it was assisted by the best snow conditions for 60 years according to locals but it was also the closest and best contested engineering challenge the organisers can remember.
Those who took part were full of praise for the experience, which combines a week of skiing alongside various engineering challenges.
As well as providing fun on the slopes, ICE & SNOW helps under-19s to develop an appreciation and understanding of engineering; to build on their team working skills and to apply their knowledge to practical engineering challenges.
Last year and now this year we successfully introduced our very own ‘Geochache’ treasure hunt on skis using GPS trackers. This went down extremely well and is a regular ICE & SNOW activity.
