A major water quality study at Jatiluhur Reservoir is informing decisions about the design of the water treatment process for a new 15 cubic metres per second water supply.
Indonesia's capital, Jakarta has five main water treatment plants, supplying nearly 14 cubic metres per second of drinking water to the city's 10 million inhabitants. Jakarta has not built any significant new water treatment plants in the last 15 years, yet over the same time the number of customers has doubled.
