If you know of a project which has demonstrated a substantial contribution to sustainable development or someone who has displayed outstanding engineering achievements, remember to nominate them by Friday 12 April!

You can nominate an individual or project for one of six different categories.

Individual awards

The Gold Medal is the Institution's premier award for civil engineering excellence, given to an individual whose sustained contribution to civil engineering over many years is of particular magnitude and stature.

Other awards recognise outstanding contribution to civil engineering outside of the UK or by a non-UK citizen engineer; dedicated and valuable service to the Institution by a member of staff; and service by a member to the Institution in a region or branch.

Project awards

You can also nominate a project which demonstrates a substantial contribution to sustainable development for the Edmund Hambly Medal which emphasises the importance of civil engineering to the wellbeing of mankind and the environment.

The Brunel Medal is awarded to recognise excellence in civil engineering. All teams, persons or organisations operating within the built environment will be eligible.
