UET Peshawar student chapter poster design competition
A “Poster Design Competition and Exhibition 2011” based on Civil Engineering themes was held on 14 June 2011 organised by the ICE Student Chapter at University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Peshawar Pakistan.
Student teams from different departments participated in the competition. Students displayed handmade posters and also printed ones in the exhibition and competition. These posters contained the details of famous Civil Engineering Structures and final year research projects of UET Peshawar students. On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Bashir Alam, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Ashraf and Engr. Yasir Irfan Badrashi acted as judges. Chairman Civil Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Akhtar Naeem Khan, Staff Advisor Associate Professor Dr. Amjad Naseer, Student Chapter President Tariq Usman Saeed and other office bearers were also present on this occasion. Team ‘Civil A’ got 1st prize, team ‘Iron Clad’ got 2nd and ‘Cool Engineers’ got 3rd prize. Chairman Dr. Akhtar Naeem Khan distributed certificates and prizes among the position holders. He highly appreciated the innovative ideas of participating students and also, the ICE Student Chapter for organizing such a great event. On this occasion, Student Chapter President Tariq Usman Saeed highlighted the benefits of becoming ICE member in terms of knowledge sharing and career development.
