Pick Everard Team are Great Communicators
A team of young civil engineers from Pick Everard’s Bury St Edmunds office has won the ICE East of England Communications Competition. They received £250 and will represent the region in the South of England semi-final battling for a place in the final.
Three teams entered and were asked to choose from a selection of contentious scenarios. They had to present their proposals, including a promotional information leaflet, as if they were at a public consultation meeting – something they may need to do during their careers. The Pick Everard team opted for a scenario which involved turning a village called Albion into a much larger eco village as a way of meeting future housing needs. Following their presentation they took questions from the audience, including the rival teams.
The runners up were teams from Amey in Bedford and Pell Frischmann in Bishop’s Stortford.
