Katherine Moore of Royal Haskoning and Paul Cosford of Hannah Reed are both celebrating achieving Chartered Engineer through the Technical Report Route (TRR).
TRR is the route to CEng (or IEng or EngTech) for people without the accredited academic base.
For Katherine the most difficult part was knowing what to expect as she was the first person in her office to take TRR and she knew that it wasn’t the same as the standard route. ‘The best part was seeing it complete, knowing that it was the equivalent of a Masters degree but shown through my personal experience,’ she said.
Paul found the most difficult part was writing the report itself, he felt it was a challenge to convey adequate technical and academic content within the word limit. He enjoyed the Review at Great George Street, Paul said ‘it was an opportunity to demonstrate that I possessed the required levels of knowledge and experience for CEng.’
