The latest information about water management across Greater London will be shared on Wednesday 17 October 2012 when the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) London Region welcomes the Chief Executive Officer of Thames Water, Martin Baggs, as guest speaker at its Annual General Meeting.
Director of ICE London, Miranda Housden, said: “ICE London always aims to have a top class speaker at its AGM so we are delighted to welcome Martin Baggs, as our guest speaker this year.
“There is a lot happening in terms of water infrastructure in the capital at the moment with major projects such as the Thames Tideway Tunnel and a lot of smaller projects aimed at further improving management of this precious resource.
“We are looking forward to receiving the latest information from Martin as Thames Water is the main water company serving London so their work will have the most impact on future resources.
“Water management is high on the ICE agenda following the publication of our State of the Nation Report on Water in June so we are sure there will be plenty of questions too!”
Chief Executive Officer of Thames Water, Martin Baggs, said: “Civil engineers play an important role in delivering Thames Water’s plans for infrastructure improvements so I welcome this opportunity to share with ICE London details of some of the work currently underway and of the projects we are looking to implement in the future.”
Bookings for the meeting should be made in advance here.
