RCEA will be continuing its successful partnership on regional events with ICE West Midlands in 2013. The next event to take place will be held on 7th March and the topic will be the Birmingham Metro Extension. The presentation will be made by Geoff Inskip.
Geoff has 25 years of experience in the finance, rail and public transport sectors. He took up the position as Chief Executive of Centro, the Transport Authority for the West Midlands, in October 2006 to develop transport solutions aimed at attracting passengers out of their cars.
Geoff has made a huge contribution to transforming the light rail industry in the UK and helping getting Trams back onto the Government’s agenda. Geoff’s contribution was recognised by the light rail industry with an award for “Campaigner of the Year” at the national Light Rail Awards.
During the past 5 years Geoff has been a driving force in setting up and getting the go-ahead to deliver a £1.3bn transport package underpinning economic regeneration in the West Midlands.
