The Mallet-Milne Lecture is a biennial event held by the Society for Earthquakes and Civil Engineering Dynamics (SECED) to honour Robert Mallet (1810 - 1881) and John Milne (1850 - 1913), the nineteenth century pioneers of seismology in Britain who made fundamental contributions to the observation and understanding of earthquakes.

This year will see SECED hosting the fourteenth Mallet Milne lecture at the ICE on 29th May. This year’s lecture will be a presentation on the history of British Seismology. This year's speaker is Dr Roger Musson from the British Geological Survey.
