Papers Competition Winner

4 FEBRUARY 2013

Jonathon Backus, a PhD student at Queen’s University Belfast and ICE Graduate member is the winner of the ICE NI Papers Competition 2013. Members of the ICE Regional Executive Board judged the event and Jonathon’s paper on ‘Monitoring the Interaction of Combined Mechanisms in the Deterioration of Concrete’ was deemed successful.

Peace Bridge wins Sustainability Award

William Bald Scholarship awarded

ICE Graduate is a UK Business Leader of Tomorrow

David Quinn, an ICE Graduate member and current holder of the Brennan Cup has been named as a UK Business Leader of Tomorrow for his role in successful Knowledge Transfer Partnership between Queen’s University Belfast and Macrete Ireland Ltd. David is one of only five individuals from across the UK to receive the recognition of their outstanding contributions to their KTPs.

Halcrow engineer Mark Sanders wins ‘ICE best student or graduate paper’ prize

27 NOVEMBER 2012

ICE Graduate Mark Sanders won the Graduate and Student Paper Competition last month after presenting his paper ‘Fertiliser from Human Waste in Scottish Agriculture’ to a highly engaged audience and panel of judges. The national final took place at ICE’s London headquarters.
