ICE QUEST Undergraduate Scholarship open for applications

1 APRIL 2013

Anyone beginning the first year of a JBM accredited civil engineering degree full time in the UK in autumn 2013 can apply for the scholarships worth £2,500 per annum for four years. Applicants must have a minimum of A, B, B predicted A level grades or equivalent.

Halcrow engineer Mark Sanders wins ‘ICE best student or graduate paper’ prize

ICE Graduate Mark Sanders won the Graduate and Student Paper Competition last month after presenting his paper ‘Fertiliser from Human Waste in Scottish Agriculture’ to a highly engaged audience and panel of judges. The national final took place at ICE’s London headquarters.

Interview with the new NW Graduates & Students chair

The committee chair for the year 2012-2013 is Chris Wood. He has been acting Chair since March. Chris studied Engineering Science at Oxford University, his dissertation was on retrofitting adobe buildings against seismic action. After graduating in 2009 he has worked for Parsons Brinckerhoff in the Bridges team in Manchester. He has a few words for the year to come.
