AES Galabovo - Focused on sustainability

AES Galabovo, a 600 MW lignite fired power plant in Bulgaria, has been in operation since 2010. The business also operates a waste disposal facility to accommodate the combustion and FGD by-products, 2.5 million tonnes annually.

Its contract included: (1) Due Diligence prior to financial closing, (2) Construction monitoring and reporting. Ferrovial has overall responsibility for the design, build, finance and operation & maintenance of 107.24 km of the existing Madrid/Barcelona A2 motorway over the 19-year period.
