ICE welcomes approval of energy NPSs
Responding Director General of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Tom Foulkes said:
“We are very encouraged that the energy NPSs have been approved so swiftly, clearly showing Government’s commitment to reforming this sector. This is the much-needed certainty industry, the supply chain and investors have long been waiting for.
“If the right balance can be achieved between market reforms to drive investment, and engineering measures such as demand management and regulatory reform that will enable the practical delivery of energy infrastructure, the policy statements will pave the way to a secure energy future for the UK.”
