ICE welcomes reappointment of construction 'champion'

Commenting on the reappointment of the Chief Construction Adviser (Paul Morrell), Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) President, Peter Hansford, said:

“ICE welcomes the reappointment of Paul Morrell as Chief Construction Adviser. As Government is now recognising the role of construction in stimulating economic growth, there has never been a more important time to have a respected construction champion within Whitehall.

“Paul’s work on the low carbon agenda, BIM and the Green Construction Board has been notable, along with his progress in coordinating Government and industry efforts.  

“We are pleased Paul will now have the opportunity to drive forward these initiatives and plans to implementation stage, and we look forward to continuing the close working relationship ICE has developed with Paul since the CCA role was established.”
