The winner
Eamonn Slevin, from Costain was awarded the prestigious 2012 ICE James Rennie Medal for his project report titled ‘M53 Bidston Moss Viaduct Strengthening Scheme’.

Eamonn, along with two other medal finalists, Nikolaos Socratous and Tom Wilcock, were selected from over 1,100 Professional Review candidates of 2011 for their outstanding qualities in all attributes and the significant contribution to the promotion and development of civil engineering.
Nikolaos was formerly with Arup Associates and

Alasdair MacLennan, chair of the James Rennie Medal Panel said, ”The final was another fantastic evening. The calibre of the three finalists was excellent, with three quite different presentations. This followed by their capability to respond to questioning from an informed audience.”
