What do civil engineers do?

Our society would not function without the work of civil engineers. Every morning we might turn on the tap, boil a kettle, use the bathroom, walk along a road, cross a bridge or take a train. Without civil engineering, we would not be able to do any of these…can you imagine what it would be like?
