The ICE approves Training Schemes that can satisfy the Initial Professional Development (IPD) stage on the route to professionally qualified membership for Technician Members (TMICE), Associated Members (AMICE) and Members (MICE). The following are the lists and details of those companies who run ICE approved training schemes:
How to produce an Approved Training Scheme
Companies who wish to introduce a Training Scheme to be approved by the Institution should, in the first instance, contact ICE via the CATS Co-ordinator. Initial enquiries will be passed on to the relevant Regional Support Team (RST) who will arrange to discuss the Scheme. They will then assist with advising what the Scheme should contain and continue with this until it is at a stage where it can be approved.
Supervising Civil Engineers and Delegated Engineers
Before any Training Scheme may be approved, it must include a minimum of one Supervising Civil Engineer (SCE) whose role it is to mentor trainees through their period of training. A SCE may be assisted by a Delegated Engineer (DE). For further guidance on the two roles please consult document GN12 (UK) / GN12Int (International).
For further information on Company Approved Training Schemes please contact the CATS coordinator or your Regional Support Team. |
