Forward plan

  • Provide guidance to maritime engineers on latest developments and advances in technology, e.g. the Panle is working with CIRIA to establish guidance on Accelerated Low Water Corrosion and with BSI to formulate a code of practice for the design of ro-ro ramps and linkspans
  • Establish dialogue with decision makers about areas of concern to the Panel
  • Publicise and comment on the impact of EC Directives for those working in the maritime area, such as the Water Framework Directive. With the International Navigation Association (PIANC) monitor the implementation of Directives in EC member states
