Jonathan Giles
Project Manager, Mouchel

Jonathan graduated in 2004 with an MEng (Hons) in civil engineering from the University of Loughborough.
Since graduation he has worked with Balfour Beatty as a site engineer on a range of highway and infrastructure schemes in the north of England, including Reighton bypass, Kingswood parks development in Hull and the Liverpool canal link.
Jonathan currently works for Mouchel in the road and major projects division of Mouchel in Manchester. He is running his own highways projects for numerous supermarket developments schemes across the UK. In addition, he has a leading role in the technical management of the 27km A4/A5 DBFO highways corridor improvements in Northern Ireland.
Jonathan´s project report, `Tesco - Hanley´, will detail his role as project manager for this highways works to facilitate the development of a new flagship store, as part of wider city centre urban regeneration in Stoke-on-Trent.
Highlighted will be the challenges Jonathan encountered during the scheme development and some of the key difficulties he overcame for this complex piece of transportation infrastructure.

George Oates
Senior Engineer, Expedition Engineering Ltd
George graduated in 2003 with an MEng (Hons), first class, in civil and architectural engineering from the University of Bath.
Since graduation he has been employed by Expedition Engineering Ltd with a one year secondment with Skanska construction. During this time he has worked on a wide variety of projects, gaining him an impressive CV that lists his involvement in key projects. Some of these include a seven storey flagship Audi centre in west London, and `The Walbrook´ a new build office block in the heart of the city of London.
George´s project report, `Designing out risk on the London 2012 Velodrome´, will detail his responsibilities and challenges as senior engineer for the design of the impressive superstructure and cable net roof on what is a technically challenging and fast track building.
George will present how the design has minimised environmental impact, risks of health and safety, and the cost and programme of one of the three permanent venues of the main Olympic Park.
Andrew Tozer
Project Manager, BP Exploration Operating Co Ltd

Andrew graduated in 1996 with an BEng (Hons) in civil and structural engineering from the University of Aberdeen.
Since graduation Andrew has been employed by BP exploration, responsible for the design and delivery of a wide range of major projects. As the appraisal general manager for BP's North Sea portfolio, Andrew is currently responsible for the assessment and development of new oil and gas prospects in the UK sector.
Andrew has accumulated significant international design and build experience across a wide range of project types delivered in the UK, France, Singapore and Norway. These include power station design and build and offshore production platform design, construction, commissioning and start-up.
Andrew's presentation, `The New Great Game - Delivering Caspian Gas to Europe´, will outline his role as project manager in meeting the challenge of design and delivery of a 25,000 tonne gas production platform in Singapore, before transportation through the Russian canal system and final installation in the Caspian Sea.
Andrew will focus on his role in leading the Singapore site team, including discussion of organisation design, contractor management and design delivery to site.
