The local association in China invites ICE members to meet regularly to exchange knowledge and ideas, visit interesting engineering sites and generally raise the profile of ICE and civil engineering within the area.

The ICE China office is now based in Beijing at the CHEC offices. There are active ICE committees in both Shanghai and Beijing, and also an ICE Training Centre based in Shanghai. Professional reviews are held annually in both Shanghai and Beijing.
