The ICE student chapter at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore was founded in January 2012.
The student chapter at UET Lahore meets reguarly and organises a range of events for civil engineering students. Their objectives are to:
- Organise seminars inviting professionals from corporate sector and engineering fields for professional development of the students
- Organise various technical competitions
- Empower students to express their ideas
- Organise campus drives for internships and jobs
- Allow students to form student networks to share knowledge
- Foster good relation with allied institutions, organisations and learned societies.
Recently they organised a 2 day event called 'Civcon 2012' which included technical lectures, design competitions, a quiz, and a poster competition.
Other activities include a professional development seminar, geotechnical presentation competition and a workshop on 'Primavera p6'.
