Welcome to the East Midlands Geotechnical Group. We are a sub-group of the ICE East Midlands region. The main objectives of the committee are to provide a focal point for geotechnical interests in the East Midlands and to offer CPD opportunity to civil engineers.
Our meetings are normally held at the University of Nottingham (University Park Campus) or Loughborough University on the second Monday of the month between September and March. The committee also maintain links and organises joint meetings with other local organisations with similar or complementary interests, such as the British Geological Society, the Permanent Way Institution, the International Geosynthetics Society and the Institution of Highways and Transportation. Please take advantage of these events.
The committee is always open to suggestions. If you wish to raise any issue which you consider relevant to our activities, please contact the Chairman or the Honorary Secretary of the Committee. We are also looking to recruit new members to the committee. If you are or you know of someone who may be interested, particularly from industry, please let us know.
