ICE East Midlands region has two Membership Development Officers (MDOs), Ray Hulse and Jane Bullivant.
Ray looks after Northamptonshire, South Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, South Lincolnshire and Rutland whilst Jane oversees North Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and North Lincolnshire.
The MDOs primarily run two types of activity to assist in civil engineers' careers, from student membership to fellowship. These are:
Membership surgeries which are intended specifically to assist anyone who wishes to find out more about the routes to membership and the application procedures, needs advice on the different steps in the process or wants to discuss any other membership issues. The surgeries are individual 45 minute consultations with an MDO and you need to contact Fiona Turner to reserve your place. Please see the events section for future surgery dates.
Company days where they visit organisations that have a registered ICE Company Approved Training Scheme, to give a brief overview of the benefits of ICE membership, routes to membership and the application procedures. This is followed by a number of individual 30 minute consultations throughout the day. If you feel your organisation would benefit from one of these visits, even if you do not operate an ICE Company Approved Training Scheme, please contact Fiona Turner to arrange this.
