Inspiring the Young

Are you passionate about civil engineering?

Do you want to inspire the next generation of civil engineers?

Then become an ambassador for ICE!

Being an Ambassador for ICE gets you working with young learners in schools and colleges to encourage awareness of and enthusiasm for civil engineering.

Working with young people in schools can be an incredibly rewarding experience personally and can count towards your CPD.

If you would like to read about the experiences of current ambassadors visit our main ICE Ambassadors page.

How to become a Civil Engineering Ambassador

ICE requires all volunteers visiting schools on ICE activities to have the relevant CRB checks. The simplest way to do this is to register as a STEM Ambassador. The online registration is quick, easy and free.

We would also ask that you contact Heather Bell so that she can keep the regional list of ambassadors up to date.

If you have undertaken any activties with young people we'd really like to hear about your experiences. Please complete our survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/EofEschoolvisitreport everytime you make contact with under 19s, whether it was organised by ICE or not, so we have a full picture of how Civil Engineering is being promoted to young people in the region.
