Fostering and promoting the understanding of Sustainability in the North East.
The North East Sustainability Panel provides an effective link between the profession in the North East region and the ICE Executive Group and Sustainability Guidance Panel by acting as a reference point for information and knowledge sharing on all environment and sustainability related issues.
The panel's remit is to act as a regional advocate for sustainability and for mitigation and adaption actions relating to climate change. It will;
- Raise awareness of sustainability issues within civil engineering
- Share knowledge and promote best practice
- Inform thinking on key issues
- Give regional perspective to consultation documents
- Contribute to current debates
- Engage with other relevant regional bodies
