ICE North East Ambassador Projects include:
- Bridges to Schools
ICE North East will bring a 15m cable stayed bridge kit to schools introducing students to civil engineering through a fun and interactive activity. The aim of Bridges to Schools is to inspire and motivate younger students to take up a career in science or engineering field. >> Read more about Bridges to Schools.
- Wonder Competition
Year 9 and year 10 learners (age range 14-16) from schools across the North East are invited to take part in this exciting and challenging project. Throughout the challenge learners are able to develop their skills in the areas of science, technology, engineering and maths as well as a whole host of key skills. The challenge also increases their awareness of the technical and professional opportunities available within the construction and engineering industries, provides an appreciation of the built environment, and raises awareness of the variety of opportunities this sector presents for young people.
- INPUT hands-on design, make and test projects. Age range 8 to 18+. Projects covering the fields of structures, energy and streamlining of vehicles.
