The Environment and Sustainability group will provide an effective link between the profession in the North West region and the central ICE Environment and Sustainability Panel by acting as a reference point for information and knowledge sharing on all environment and sustainability related issues.
The Group’s remit, through learned society meetings and a number of initiatives, is to encourage information and knowledge sharing and disseminate best practices in the region, and in so doing support the Institution’s continuous commitment to sustainable development.
Aims
In the coming year this group will collaborate with branches and associated societies to:
- offer a wide range of seminars throughout the North West region to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing in research and professional activities;
- work towards establishing a region-focused sustainability best practice database; and
- liaise with the Regional Committee to introduce and promote an annual CEEQUAL Award to complement the existing annual Community Award.
We are constantly looking for new committee members, from both academia and industry. Representatives from major clients and contracting companies are particularly welcome. If you are interested, please contact one of the committee members, details below.
