The ICE NI Transportation Group provides a forum by which members can discuss and promote the study and practice of transportation engineering as it affects travel on land, water or in the air.
The group take an active role in a review of the Transport Infrastructure requirements throughout Northern Ireland. They provide a review of the state of the Infrastructure and feed into consultation groups such as:-
- The Integrated Transport Stakeholder Group
- The All Party Working Group on Construction
- Consultation Papers
- ICE input to new major Infrastructure proposals, e.g. York Street interchange.
- Review of Infrastructure requirements
- Policy documents.
- Northern Ireland Assembly, responses to Briefing Papers on Transport.
- Media requests for information on Transportation Issues
Mark Atkinson from the group has historically operated as a liaison member between the ICE and CIHT group to ensure that we provide an integrated approach consistent for members of both organisations.
