The popular schools initiative Bridges to Schools was developed in Glasgow & West of Scotland, in a collaboration between the GWoS Committee and Strathclyde University.
Bridges to Schools has since been replicated in other ICE Regions: Northern Ireland, Wales and East Midlands.
In 2008 a new bridge was commissioned for Glasgow & West of Scotland, replacing the older wooden structure with an elegant aluminium frame.
