The Chair of the subcommittee is held by the Senior Vice-Chairman of Glasgow and West of Scotland Branch.
The aim of the subcommittee is to ensure fully effective and timeous communications exist and are maintained between G&WoS Branch Committee and its constituency membership through the various electronic and paper routes employed, co-ordinate inputs and provide editorial advice on wider external communications.
The first Glasgow & West of Scotland photo competition was held in 2009. Following its success, the competition was run again in 2010.
The aim of the competition is to build up a wide-ranging library of exciting, high-quality digital images for use in promoting Civil Engineering in Scotland. Any member of ICE Scotland may enter photos on any Civil Engineering subject, and there is no limit to the number of images you may submit. Photos must be your own work, and you must be willing to give permanent permission for the image to be used by ICE Scotland for promotion of the profession.
