ICE Scotland has a team of Membership Development Officers dedicated to the support of members and their companies on the routes to Professional Qualification.

David Kennedy, MDO

Areas: North and NE Scotland, Highlands & Islands (postcodes starting AB, DD, IV, KY, PH, KW, ZE).
David was head of Engineering Services at Aberdeen City Council until 2005 and is a long standing member of the Aberdeen Association of Civil Engineers, where among other things, he took responsibility for pre-19 activity. He has also acted as a Supervising Civil Engineer.
Donna Surgeoner, MDO 
donna.surgeoner@ice.org.uk, 07584 213393, 01698 356471. Areas: Edinburgh, Central and Southern Scotland & Glasgow. After completing a PhD in civil engineering at QUB in Belfast, Donna worked in civil engineering consultancy in Glasgow for 12 years, working mainly on wastewater, environmental, rivers and flooding projects. She has managed projects involving diverse teams of engineers, GIS specialists and environmental scientists. She was an SCE and as a graduate was very involved in G&S committees in both NI and Scotland.
