The main objective of the Transport Group is to further knowledge in traffic engineering, transport planning and associated subjects. This it achieves by organising up to six meetings or visits each year for the benefit of ICE South members and others involved in the disciplines of traffic engineering and transport planning.
The group also aims to serve as a link between the Academic community and those in working practice within the transport sector of the civil engineering industry. Both academics and non-academics are involved in the group’s business activities and membership. Members of the Transport Group represent ICE South at annual meetings with the Transport Board, thus helping to maintain links with Great George Street.
