'QUEST' stands for 'Queen's Jubilee Scholarship Trust', which was set up in 1977 to support and encourage education in civil engineering. The scholarship awards offer financial support and a variety of other benefits such as work placements, potential employment after graduation and supporting activities (depending on the type of scholarship - see below).
The types of QUEST award available include:
- Undergraduate: for Students on an accredited civil engineering course
- Technician: for Student or Graduate Members
- Travel Award: for Graduate Members or Members who have been Graduate Members or Members for two or more years
- Continuing Education Award: for Graduate Members or Members who have been Graduate Members or Members for two or more years
- Eloise Plunkett Award: for one UK-based newly qualified female civil engineer
- Worshipful Company of Constructors Award: for a project contributing to personal and career development
Over 1000 awards have been granted since the launch in 1977 to those who have demonstrated academic ability and an aptitude to be team players and to become leaders.
