Education

ICE West Midlands attends and organises educational events for pre-19's throughout the year to help raise the profile of civil engineering as a career and encourage young people in to the profession.

Whether it's manning a stand at a careers fair, or helping to run a hands-on classroom activity such as paper arch construction or Rapid Response Challenge, we need ambassadors to help us.

If you are interested in becoming a STEM ambassador please follow this link to the STEMNET website and sign up!  Please advise Jane Young at ICE West Midlands regional office that you have signed up so that your details can be added to our Ambassadors mailing list.

Regional activities

We have a dedicated, Award Winning, team of graduates and students who have devised the Paper Bridge Challenge.  This is a fun activity which can be used in all sorts of ways to encourage interest and demonstrate the principles of structures and sustainable construction.
