Professional Review

The third and final stage in becoming a professionally qualified Member of ICE is the Professional Review. Please refer to Educational Base for stage one and Initial Professional Development (IPD) for stage two.

What is a Professional Review?.

The Professional Review is made up of the following steps:

  • Production and submission of reports
  • An interview, where you will be required to demonstrate how you have satisfied the specific attributes relevant to the grade you are applying for
  • A written exercise (with the exception of the Technician Professional Review)

How to apply for Professional Review

Full details of the attributes relevant to the grade you wish to apply for and submission requirements can be found in Appendix A and Appendix B of the following documents:

Making an application

The Professional Reviews Checklist has been designed to assist you in preparing and making your application for your Professional Review and should be read in conjunction with the appropriate membership document as noted above.

It is important that you allow sufficient time to plan and prepare for your Professional Review. You should regularly check the key dates page for any changes that may affect your preparation time for one of the application periods.

Review Centre locations

ICE is an international organisation and therefore strives to accommodate applicants from all over the world. Professional Reviews are held at a number of centres across the UK and around the world. Full details of the centres available can be found on the key dates page.

If you would like to attend a Professional Review in a location other than those listed on the key dates page, please state this as an alternative on your application form. Your request will be considered but cannot be guaranteed as this will depend on candidate numbers and availability of Reviewers.

Fees

  • A non-refundable application fee must be submitted with your application
  • On admission as a Member, you must pay the ICE entrance fee (unless you are an ICE graduate member of at least 2 year’s standing), and an annual subscription fee to maintain your membership
