The Olympic Park is located on 2.5 km2 of land in east London – that’s about the same size as London’s Hyde Park.

It crosses four London boroughs – Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest. The Park will come alive during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, with many of the main sporting events taking place there, including the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Over 500 000 spectators will visit the Olympic Park during the games.
