As part of London's commitment to a sustainable 2012 Olympics, civil engineers have worked hard to ensure minimum waste.
This includes reusing and recycling construction waste materials, turning waste into energy that can heat and power homes and businesses, and disposing of any left over waste in a sustainable way.
