The Municipal Engineering Expert Panel (MEP) exists with the purpose of “promoting excellence in communities”.
The thematic area of civil engineering addressed by the MEP is the delivery of engineering services at a local level to support the continuation and sustainable development of life in communities.
The MEP is concerned with developing best practice for the delivery of a variety of engineering service disciplines bound by the common thread of local area delivery with strong communit, local democratic and multi-disciplinary interfaces.
The MEP meets quarterly, and its members consist of representatives from each ICE region. Experts in their respective fields, they monitor the delivery of the annual action plan and develop future programmes.
Its members work to define and deliver desired outputs and outcomes against the five ICE knowledge streams – Research & Innovation; Best Practice; Capacity Building; Policy, and; Networking and Events.
