Phil Jackson (Chair) Phil is a Civil Engineer and construction industry professional with in depth experience in the design, construction and the management of infrastructure projects who has translated that experience into shaping and delivering information technology solutions for the industry. He is currently chair of the Institution's Information Systems Panel.

His career has included UK and International delivery experience as a Project Manager, as IT Director for a major international engineering consultancy and as a technical consultant. He now specialised in strategic advice, shaping tactical delivery of strategies and systems for producing and managing data on projects in the built environment. Including expertise in collaboration and building information management and BIM in it's widest sense.

His career has encompassed:
■ Major highway and bridge design and construction at a senior level.
■ IT directorship for an international engineering consulting practice.
■ Project Director for the Proffessional Services Division of an international software supplier.
■ Responsible for delivering IT and CAD systems for a number major projects worldwide including the UK Channel Tunnel, Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok Airport, Heathrow Terminal 5, London Crossrail, Dubai Festival City and Masdar City.
■ Project management of asset management systems for a major water authority.
■ Assessing over 200 international project managers Project Management of several software development projects.

He has been involved in the development of Data Standards and has served on several national projects developing collaboration practice including the foundational work for British Standard 1192:2007 for collaboration. He represents the ICE on the CPI (Construction Production Information) Committee which advises on the development of standards, develops and publishes the Uniclass classification standard.

His Specialties include:
Engineering data management, CAD and BIM systems. Project Director, Strategic Consultancy and tactical delivery.
Jeff Stephens, Principal Engineer, Vinci Construction UK Ltd.

Jeff graduated from Sheffield in 1979 and joined Taylor Woodrow as a civil engineer. He moved into computer applications where he was responsible for the Frame and Finite Element analysis programs. 

Over the following 15 years Jeff has specialised in building and construction ICT systems. He has contributed technically and managed a number of collaborative projects including CIMsteel, ATLAS and VEGA.  He has been leading Taylor Woodrow´s implementation of the UK DTI AVANTI Programme, developing a new approach to collaborative working.  Currently, Jeff is responsible for the ICT R&D activities in the ManuBuild integrated project, part of the EU 6th Framework Programme.

Jeff is the community manager of the Construction Industry Trading Electronically (CITE), a board member of Building Smart (IAI) in the UK, and a member of the British Standards Institution Technical Committee B/555. 
James Brayshaw, Board Director, Ordnance Survey

James joined the OS Board in 2001, responsible for customer relationships and market development. He has over 25 years´ IT technical and consultative management experience providing software solutions to the Civil Engineering Industry. 

He established the UK organisation for a US collaboration and e-commerce web solutions provider for the construction industry.

James is a graduate from Manchester University with a BSc (Hons) degree in civil engineering, a Chartered Engineer, a Member of ICE, and sits on the Geospatial and IT Advisory panels.
Dr Jennifer Whyte, Reader in Innovation and Design School of Construction Management and Engineering, University of Reading, UK

Jennifer is a Reader in Innovation and Design at the University of Reading. Her contribution to the IS Panel, based of her research trajectory and experience in this area, contributes academic expertise and addresses the panel's objectives. In her research, she addresses the role of information systems in the design, co-ordination and governance of infrastructure and building projects. 

She leads a project on 'Infrastructure through Life: Technology Use in Global Projects' and collaborates with a number of groups nationally and internationally (e.g. in Europe and the USA) as well as many leading firms within the industry. She also attends events and conferences such as FIATECH.
 
Mark Eaden, Senior Route Engineer, High Speed 2 (North East)
Mark is a Chartered Civil Engineer with a broad experience of the design and implementation of the railway as a system, taking into consideration all discipline requirements from signalling to operations, to asset management and maintenance. Mark has a proven track record of innovation and free-thinking which has resulted in tangible savings in time and money at all levels of project involvement covering design process, design deliverables, and project implementation.

He recently developed design techniques to take advantage of technological advances in the field of 3D modelling and simulation to achieve significant cost savings and risk reduction.
  
Kay Pallaris, ODA Technical Services – Capability Manager for Business Information Systems. Kay’s career has focused on the applied science of Geographic enquiry and spatial thinking to sustainable planning, regeneration, development and management of places. Kay has extensive experience in the applied use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for geographical analysis and modelling to determine baseline conditions and formulate new location strategies for improvement and development. Specifically, Kay has been involved in designing, implementing and managing many projects that have embedded spatial analytical approaches to look at issues such as air quality, erosion risk, noise pollution, contaminated land assessments, socio-economic profiling, biodiversity mapping, urban expansion suitability analysis, social infrastructure planning and open space planning.

Kay is also dedicated to raising awareness of the value of integrated GeoSpatial Information (GI) Management for delivering Major Projects, specialising in developing GI Strategies and GI data standards and processes. Kay has also been involved in managing the delivery of a number of Business Information Systems and business change activities to support Major Works Programmes.

Anne Kemp Director Atkins - Network Chair for Geospatial and Integrated Digital Solutions.  Dr Anne Kemp is a Director, and Atkins’ Network Chair for Geospatial and Integrated Digital Solutions. She has 25 years experience of GIS and environmental modelling. Her career commenced with post doctoral research at Bristol University. She has since held positions at BARNUS (a Brown and Root affiliated environmental consultancy), and RSK Environment Limited, where she was a Director for five years, managing large GIS projects for Shell UK, and OPA, and EIA projects for MOD and Statoil. 

Anne has been at Atkins for 12 years, where she first introduced GIS to the business, and has acted as advisor to a wide range of projects, ranging from contaminated land to large data management projects

Neill Pawsey  Independent Construction Industry IT Consultant. European Project Manager for FIATECH (US based Research Engineer at Loughborough University Programme Manager for COMIT Organisation (Construction Opportunities for Mobile IT) – Responsible for delivery of demonstration projects and deliverables promoting the effective use of mobile technologies in the UK Construction Industry.Previously Chairman from 2005 – 2008.

Richard Lee ICE Graduate Engineer with Bovis Lend Lease -  Civil & Structural Engineer, mainly focusing on temporary works design but also involved in bidding, technical support to site and sustainability development. In addition to office based work Richard has had temporary works responsibility on site for the Regents Place and Harlequin1 projects in London. He was seconded to Regents Place where he also gained site management experience dealing with quality, program and structural design issues as well as developing his knowledge on frame design and construction.  Richard is keen to work with Panel to further his engineering knowledge in regards to information systems and how these systems are being implemented across the industry to improve efficiency

Paul Wilkinson  Director - PWcom.co.uk Ltd. Author and specialist in collaborative technology solutions for the architecture, engineering and construction sector - wrote the industry's first book about these technologies, published in 2005. University lecturer and speaker at construction industry conferences on collaborative technologies. Leading advocate of social media in the UK construction industry. Co-founder of the online network Be2camp - applying social media (Web 2.0) to the built environment professions. Member: International Building Press, Constructing Excellence, CIPR Construction and Property Interest Group (CAPSIG) and CIM Construction Interest Group (CIMCIG). Working in construction related B2B public relations and marketing since 1987. Qualified PR practitioner (CAM Certificate and CAM PR Diploma); full member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

Marek Suchocki is a Customer Success Manager within Autodesk Consulting covering NorthernEurope. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering, is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered IT Professional, a Fellow of the British Computer Society, and a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors. His career focus has been the research,development and application of information technology to aid management and design processes for built environment projects. He sits on the management board of Construct IT, an industry academia membership organisation in the UK, and is a member of the British Standards B555 committee for construction processes, design and modelling
