Winner: Liverpool Canal Link

Notes

  • An ambitious public realm project, introducing a new way to appreciate the city through promotion of canal useage (and cycling and walking)
  • Much more than a canal project, this is an ambitious public realm initiative project which connects with the buildings around it. Team collaboration was excellent, and there for all to see
  • The City showed a visionary approach: they incorporated their public space improvement with the British Waterways' civils work for the canal in to one contract - with a brilliant outcome
  • The delighted client has achieved a world class waterfront creating a new canal link which is already a major catalyst for regeneration.
