The motorway achievement, volume 3: building the network
The creation of the UK's motorway network in the second half of the 20th century facilitated a dramatic improvement in the mobility of people and goods and contributed greatly to economic growth. This volume presents detailed and comprehensive accounts of the construction of the motorway network, associated structures, and who was involved. Each chapter focuses on a specific region of the UK.

Pedestrian facilities: engineering and geometric design
This deals exclusively with the engineering and numerical design aspects of pedestrian facilities such as footways, uncontrolled and controlled crossings along roads and at junctions, roundabouts and driveways, where pedestrian and vehicles interact. It focuses on the dimensional aspects of pedestrian facilities and the design of individual elements of a pedestrian's route.

Jubilee Line extension: from concept to completion
A major reference work detailing the story of London Underground's award-winning Jubilee Line Extension. It looks at how it came into being, how it was planned, designed, built and commissioned, and how the Millennium deadline was met. The project set new standards for public transport and is considered a major construction achievement.

Proceedings of the ICE - Transport
This regular peer-reviewed journal covers all aspects of planning, design, construction, maintenance and project management for the movement of goods and people. Topics include transport planning and policy, tranffic management, airports, infrastructure projects, the economic and environmental aspects of urban and inter-urban transportation systems.
