Land drainage and flood defence responsibilities, 4th edition
First published in 1983, this guide has established itself as a popular text on the practice of land drainage and the legal implications of drainage operations. This edition has been fully updated to reflect the significant changes in legislation and statutory bodies. This includes the move to a risk-based approach in environment management and the planning process, resulting in greater control of development on flood plains.

Managing dams: challenges in times of change
Ensuring that the UK's stock of existing dams is properly managed to ensure their safety and continued functionality is a major challenge. This book contains the proceedings of the 16th Biennial Conference of the British Dam Society. Water Management Proceedings
This regular peer-reviewed ICE journal publishes papers on all aspects of water treatment, water supply, river, wetland and catchment management, inland waterways and urban regeneration. Coverage includes the traditional areas of applied fluid dynamics and water and river engineering. Plus there are papers on wetland and catchment management, groundwater and contaminated land, waterfront development and urban regeneration.
