Developing the Mayor’s Transport Strategy 2017: A view from civil engineers

Read the thoughts of civil engineers on London’s growth and transport needs as City Hall develops the new Mayor’s Transport Strategy

Following a workshop on Monday 6 February, the ICE London Transport Expert Network (TEN) has produced its initial thoughts on the upcoming Mayor's Transport Strategy (MTS).

This document lays out how the MTS should be developed, looking at the three themes of mode shift, air quality & carbon emissions and housing and jobs.

The new MTS will shape the future development of London, setting out what new transport infrastructure is required, how London will manage population growth and what will be done to protect the environment.

Have a read of this preliminary analysis to get an overview of TfL's direction of travel and the views of civil engineers from across London.
