Transport Expert Panel

The Transport Expert Panel provides the technical expertise and knowledge that supports ICE's activity in the transport sector.

The panel works with ICE staff to deliver a wealth of engineering knowledge. This includes:

  • Influencing ICE's policy statements in areas such as rail, roads, aviation, freight, cycling and walking.
  • Helping to build capacity and skills.
  • Supporting research, events, networking and best practice guidance for engineers in the sector.

    Transport Expert Panel

    Alan is a Director at KPMG in the UK, a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of ICE with over 25 years’ experience in infrastructure.

    Alan has led strategic projects for government, advising on many aspects of asset management including whole lifecycle solutions and business transformation. His current focus is working with senior stakeholders providing leadership in implementing and developing asset management solutions. His experience covers a number of sectors including; defence, property, highways and regulated industries such as water and rail.
