ICE South East Asia supports members living and working in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and other regions in the area.

It shares knowledge, influences public infrastructure policy, and encourages innovation and excellence in the civil engineering profession.

ICE South East Asia also aims to raise the profile of civil engineering by working with the media, schools and universities.

ICE Indonesia

There is an ICE Student Chapter at BINUS University. This active group organises site visits, and student members have the opportunity to present their final year papers to engineers as part of regular technical lecture evenings.

The ICE has an office located at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which provides support to members in South East Asia. The Business Development Manager for South East Asia is Theban Arumugam. ICE Student Chapters

ICE has 1 student chapter at BINUS University.

    The ICE Student Chapter at BINUS University helps civil engineering students develop skills, knowledge and experience.

    Members will get to attend civil engineering events, site visits and seminars run by industry professionals. They'll also have the opportunity to present their final paper in front of a group of professional civil engineers, will help them increase their confidence and get valuable experience.

ICE Malaysia

There are around 1,000 ICE members living in Malaysia and working on a huge range of projects across the country.

Our volunteer representative for Malaysia is Ir. Dr. Tony Chan, PhD BEng (Hons) PEng CEng M.I.E.M MICE . He arranges technical events, visits to ongoing engineering projects and helps to increase the profile of civil engineering.     The formation of an ICE Student Chapter at UCSI University Kuala Lumpur Campus is an important step in the developing the students to become well-rounded, professional engineers. Initial Professional Development practice and experience acquired through this student chapter will prepare members for a career of lifelong learning and Continuous Professional Development within the ICE locally and internationally.

    Students will also able to enjoy the benefits that ICE offers, including access to ICE's international knowledge network. The virtual library is an excellent source for engineering solutions and research-based projects, where students will have the chance to engage with ICE students and graduates all around the world through the Graduates and Students Network exchanging ideas, opinions, knowledge and experience.

    The group aims to:

    • To 'foster and promote the art and science of Civil Engineering'
    • To enhance and broaden the knowledge and perspective of Civil Engineering students at UCSI University Kuala Lumpur Campus by giving international exposure
    • To prepare a platform for all Civil Engineering students to develop their abilities and share their knowledge
    • To foster good relations with allied institutions, organisations and learned society

ICE Singapore

There are around 340 ICE members living in Singapore and working on a range of projects across the country.

At the heart of our activities in Singapore are the volunteers who make up our local associations. The local association invites ICE members to meet regularly to exchange knowledge and ideas, visit interesting engineering sites and raise the profile of ICE and civil engineering within the area.
