Municipal Engineering Expert Panel

The panel works to show how public works infrastructure can improve our communities' health and quality of life.

Panel members provide ICE with expertise on the built environment of our towns and cities. We use this knowledge to find ways to improve how we design, construct and manage our communities.

What are we working on?

Having helped create an ongoing mentoring scheme for qualified ICE members, as well as a series of briefing reports, the Panel has turned it's attention to Local Government Procurement processes, investigating whether current practice really is delivering best value for communities.

The Panel will also be contributing to ICE activity on Future Cities, and how technology could change and improve the integration of infrastructure within the built urban environment.
