ICE Graduates and Students Network, with the support of the Membership Development team, are hosting an Aspiring Engineers event, which is an opportunity for engineers approaching their professional review to practice their presentations to an audience of their peers.
For the audience, this event will provide the opportunity to gain knowledge of various projects being delivered by experienced graduate engineers in the region.
There will be a variety of topics presented on the night, and an opportunity to ask questions at the end of each talk. You will also be free to network following the presentations.

Eleana Karayianni is a structural engineer with 5 years of experience working on a wide range of new and refurbished steel, concrete and timber buildings and tensile fabric structures and façades in the UK and abroad. Eleana's presentation will cover her experience working as the lead structural engineer of a new four storey high Emergency Department Hospital at Wexham Park Hospital in Slough, UK which is currently under construction. Eleana is having her ICE Professional Review in October 2017.
Luke Jackson is a Rail Engineer with 5 years' experience working for VINCI Construction UK undertaking the site construction, design and planning of Crossrail and Network Rail projects. Luke's current position is as section engineer on a Network Rail capacity improvement project between Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Parkway, undertaking significant earthworks to accommodate an additional two tracks. The presentation will include the challenges and design solutions implemented to overcome the constraints of the operational railway.
Yasin Hussain is a Civils Engineer with 7 years' experience working for Network Rail in various asset management, maintenance and project delivery roles. Yasin's current position is as a Civils Design Engineer, with Network Rail's internal design team, where he provides consultant services for Wales and Western route and project teams. His presentation shall focus on a track remodelling scheme at Bristol East Junction in which he acted as lead design engineer to provide civils expertise to support interdisciplinary designs.
